Honest about the limits
1967-1968 Camaro used letter-based paint codes (e.g. A=Tuxedo Black, C=Ermine White) rather than two-digit numeric codes; full letter tables exist publicly but are omitted here to avoid year-mixing.
1970-1972 Camaro interior trim tables were only partially available; consult camaros.org or nastyz28.com.
1971-1972 Camaro paint code tables not included here (the 1970 table is the closest reference).
1972 Nova exact two-digit paint code numbers were not fully captured; color names are listed -- consult novaresource.org for the numeric codes.
1968-1971 Nova paint tables omitted; consult novaresource.org.
Fisher Body line-3 option codes on Nova cowl tags are not publicly decoded.
Oshawa, Canada plant (code 0) for 1968-1971 Nova is single-source and omitted.
This tool decodes the 13-character VIN; the cowl tag also carries paint/trim/axle/transmission/build-date codes (partly documented above). For complete cowl-tag decoding consult camaros.org (Camaro) or novaresource.org (Nova).
1972+ horsepower ratings are SAE NET (lower than pre-1972 SAE gross; not necessarily weaker engines).
